Getting started with Filemaker Pro & ClientCare

Once you decide that you want to take advantage of all the benefits ClientCare has to offer your practice, your next step will be purchasing Filemaker Pro.  The software will allow you to access the database from our servers. You can order v10, v11 or v12, but if you have more than one computer you’ll need to have the same version. (Filemaker Pro works with Windows or Mac, you don’t have to order a special OS version)

 

If you’re using an iPad, there is a Filemaker To Go app in the App Marketplace that is in v11 for $19.99 or v12 for free.  This would need to be the same as your computer version.

 

We at ClientCare prefer version 11 of Filemaker Pro, since there are many options of buying it online that aren’t very expensive and it’s easier to find than v10 (if you get another computer, or use a desktop and then a laptop).  You can use the same license on two different computers, but they cannot be used simultaneously.

 

 

Be aware that there are “Upgrade” versions which are NOT going to be useful unless you have the previous full version of Filemaker Pro.

 

Once you get Filemaker Pro installed on your computer(s) or devices, complete the checkout process on our Pricing page and we’ll get you set up with an account. The process takes about 2-3 business days.
